Vancouver Island Shredding Services

Secure destruction of records is now a necessity rather than luxury. Recent increases in cases of identity theft and corporate liability have reinforced concerns over how confidential information is managed and destroyed both for individuals as well as businesses and organizations.

Organizations have the added concerns to protect themselves from corporate espionage, release of confidential employee or client information, internal documentation and other critical information.

In addition to promoting best practices, securing your records' destruction fulfills organization's obligations under current legislation. If you are not sure what you need to shred, ask yourself one simple question: "Would I be comfortable putting this information out on the curb with a "help yourself" sign on it? If the answer is no, you need to contact us.

On-Site vs. Off-Site Shredding

Many shredding companies only offer their clients a single option for shredding: either off-site or on-site.

IDSS offers our customers the choice. Would you prefer that we bring our mobile shredding unit to your location so you can watch your documents being destroyed? Or perhaps you would prefer the more economical option of having your papers picked up on a scheduled run by our pickup van and taken to our facility for shredding.

Scheduled Stored Records Destruction

For those clients that utilize IDSS for document storage as well as shredding services, we offer scheduled record destruction.

Once your stored records reach the end of their required life span, contact us to initiate a purge. To ensure accuracy, you may request an IDSS representative to pull these records and bring them to you to verify their status for destruction. Following your approval, these documents are then destroyed and you will receive a certificate of destruction.
